Steven E. Holbrook, O.D.

Dr. Holbrook is a native of Hammond, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1985. During his clinical training, Dr. Holbrook had the unique opportunity to train under some of the most renowned ophthalmologists in the country. Through this experience, he became one of the first optometrists to pursue post-graduate training at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida where he spent two and a half years studying advanced ocular disease along with medical and surgical treatment of the eye.

Dr. Holbrook utilized his unique credentials and helped establish a new concept for optometry: an optometric physician in partnership with surgical specialists providing specialized surgical care of the eye. The Aran-Holbrook referral center was established in 1989 in Miami and grew into one of the most successful practices in the South. Even with his tremendous success, Dr. Holbrook longed to return home. He came to The Eye Center of Southern Indiana in 1997 where he works as a key partner in providing quality LASIK services. In addition to LASIK, his clinical interests are glaucoma and medical retina.

He and his wife, Beth, keep busy with their three sons: Cliff, Patrick, and Jacob. The Holbrooks enjoy hiking, camping, and sports.
