Dr. Chad Huck, O.D.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Dr. Huck attended Indiana University from 1977 through 1985 where he played quarterback. In his final year of optometry school at Indiana University’s School of Optometry (1984), Dr. Huck joined Dr. Grossman’s practice, which allowed Dr. Grossman to continue his specialty interest in cataract surgery. Dr. Huck became board certified in the developing field of medical optometry, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, with emphasis on the pre- and post-surgical treatment of cataract patients. During his career at The Eye Center, Dr. Huck has triaged over 125,000 patient encounters.

Part of Dr. Huck’s role at The Eye Center has been to help coordinate between our patients’ hometown eye doctors and the eye surgeon through co-management of surgical care. He also serves as Clinic Director, which involves managing the clinical protocols, routines, and employees of the practice. In addition to this, he serves as an adjunct faculty member for Indiana University School of Optometry.

Dr. Huck is married to Dr. Patricia Henderson who is also an optometrist and Clinic Director for Indiana University’s Community Eye Care Center. They have two children, Andrew and Elizabeth. In addition to playing dad and coach, Dr. Huck enjoys woodworking and golf.
