MEET DR. HRISOMALOS
Dr. Hrisomalos, often called “Dr. Frank,” was born and raised in Indianapolis, attending Indiana University for his undergraduate degree, a combined business and medical degree, as well as his residency training in ophthalmology. He next completed a fellowship in medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous at Washington University in St. Louis. After completion of his training, he was happy to be able to move back home to Indiana and establish his practice.
Growing up shadowing his father, Nicholas Hrisomalos, also a retinal specialist, fostered Dr. Frank’s interest in retinal disease. Dr. Frank very much enjoys spending time at the Eye Center, caring for patients with retinal needs and providing comprehensive retinal care. Working with the doctors at the Eye Center, he helped establish a retinal care team focused on optimizing care as well as triaging and expediting treatment for patients with retinal emergencies.
Dr. Frank is married to his wife Janice, a healthcare attorney. He has two children, Daphne and Ari, and enjoys spending his free time with his family including their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Penny.
